The flip side of this poster, “Walt Disney’s California Railroads,” features every train or rail system (listed in installation order) inspired by Uncle Walt. This side of the poster includes over 22 art images created directly or indirectly for this print project. The “stack of trains” seen above includes two Disney railroad attractions that postdate Walt Disney’s legacy; the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (1979) and the Ward Kimball engine (2005). Ward Kimball is the animator and rail fan who introduced Walt to railroading as a hobby in 1945. A young Kimball is featured on the poster with Walt as they “fire up” the new Lilly Belle engine inside a Burbank sound stage. All images copyrighted.Order_Posters.html
